perhaps the board are being sympathetic to a man who has served the club very well, but is currently suffering extremely trying personal problems, as well as missing someone who obviously had a massive effect on performances.

I personally cannot fault them with that stance, although again taking stock in the summer is no doubt necessary, for all parties.
