Under 19’s by Northallerton Seadog User: Northallerton Seadog

From STFC website:

"Because of uncertainty concerning the immediate future of Scarborough Town FC, their Under-19 team is in danger of being expelled from the Northern Under-19 Alliance. This is because each Under-19 team needs to be attached to a senior team which will be competing in a recognised league for 2010-11, and Scarborough Town is not currently in a position to fulfil this requirement. Under-19 manager Mitch Cook now has little time in which to make alternative arrangements in the best interests of his young players"

Can’t they be attached to SAFC instead?

That would make perfect sense by seadog365 User: seadog365

The lads would get their deserved place in the U19s Alliance, and the Town board would have the satisfaction of having done what is best for football in the town, which after all is what they all want.

It makes such goodsense that if it does not happen it can only be through shear bloody mindedness on behalf of the town board, they could of course affiliate to Whitby ?

That would be the most obvious solution. I hear that the funding - not sure where from - is sorted for the U-19 team, and presumably Mitch wants to carry on coaching and managing his squad of youngsters, so isn’t it the most sensible way forward? Nobody could object to them being Scarborough Athletic FC U-19 surely, at least for one season. Discussions could then take place as to how exactly the set-up would work for the long term.

And proud of it, Brian/Malcolm/Mitch/Darius/Steve/John/Peter/Bob

Edit to say, it’s a good job I never bought a ticket. I wouldn’t have known where the money was going would I?
