Just curious what you would like to see happen? There is less interest in the female game and therefore less money so less money for wages generally across the game. There are reasons why many prefer non league football to premier league so the absolute level of quality is not the only dimension, however most people wish to see the sport played at the highest level possible. Some women are better than some men, but the best footballers are all men due to their biological advances.

The Australian national ladies team got beat by a regional under 15s boys side.

Again just curious on what you would like to see happen.

Forcing equal outcomes usually requires some kind of significant unnatural force.

Even players on the same team rarely get paid the same so, how would the comparisons be made or would it be a case of one size (of pay packet) fits all?

I guess would be the way to go. Lewes said attendances are about the same for both teams, in which case I don’t have an issue with it. I’d not want to see the men’s subsidise the women’s game, any more than I think we should get big handouts from Man City and the premier league.

Boro 5-1 Brid Town. Boro goals from McNaughton (2), Coulson, Brooksby and Walshaw. The Brid goal which was an equaliser was an audacious lob from the half way line over Morgan. Most of the players available had a half each at least. Some good impressive on the floor football from Boro and the second half was really all Boro, the only real dampener was the fact that Wally went off injured towards the end, hopefully it won’t prove to be too bad.

such as early view of goals and wally repeats.
This is because I had major problems with my editing software.
I haven’t yet checked it but the menu for text disappeared at the start
and I had to copy n paste the first text block and then enter new text.
The videos of the first half were replicated with those of the 2nd half
and for some reason kept popping up earlier in the video.
I managed to remove most of them but as you see others were missed.
At least all the goals are there unless they aren’t.
Just gonna run a couple of security checks
to see if I can sort out the glitches in the editing software.

“From Nigel Davey

On behalf of Taryn Davey, Rach Pash, Pete Davey and myself,
it is a sad day to announce the death of our father Jim Davey this afternoon. Only 73.
Ex-Scarborough FC player. Who was an apprentice at Doncaster Rovers.
Went on to play for Notts County, Kettering Town, Goole Town, Bridlington Town.
Also had a trial for Manchester City. Also played in Australia and Hong Kong.
In Scarborough was manager of the old South Cliff FC.
This squad won Scarborough’s Saturday First and Second Divisions in the same season.
First time ever done in this town, and I think it was the last."

I’m sure Boro fans will be talking about their memories of Jim this afternoon at the Rugby Club for the PSF

I am sure others would like to join with me in thanking all the players who turned out today to give us the great game that they did. You could plainly see that a lot of ‘elderly’ players still had a lot of skill and a decent level of fitness. The only thing missing for me was a team-sheet but I guess that may not have been easy to produce. I think it could have been a bit of an earner as more would have been bought I’m sure. We had fun remembering & pointing out players but there were quite a few I wasn’t sure about. Well done to all involved and it would be good to have it again next year if enough players are up for it.
