Notice they mention the New Years Day match but don’t bother to mention we have played one another since that incident in a segregated match with no trouble.

Angry. by Aylesbury Seadog

Posted: 9/12/2018 at 12:02:17, 397 views.

What the hell is happening to Boro?

It all seems to have gone badly wrong since the Gainsborough away game, which we only won by a whisker. Since then, we’ve been appalling at Farsley (twice) and Basford United. In the latter match, I travelled up to meet a family member who was coming from up north for the game. The display was shocking. Every time Basford attacked it was like a knife through butter, while our midfield was totally out of its depth. Significantly, it was noted that good players such as Cadman and Dean were absent, although the latter was injured. However, continuing to keep our best options on the bench risks them moving on for game time. We saw an example of this earlier in the campaign when Ryan Blott moved to pastures new.

With two embarrassing home defeats, in which we failed to score on both occasions, it seems we’re fast becoming pushovers: a team where the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand’s doing. This is evident in not only bad and inaccurate passing, but also in our defence which simply doesn’t tackle. Defeats are starting to be expected.

In summary, something major needs to happen. If Kittrick’s not up to the job he needs to go before Christmas so that we can get fresh blood in to change our current direction.

We were vey poor (all over the pitch) - no leadership. Hyde were probably average/half decent (hard to tell given how poor we were). SK needs to take some responsibility/ownership for that display.

The signings made not good enough, dropping to many better players l… am afraid the responsiblity lies with SK.. our 10 point gap was always a red herring , there’s better teams out there and I don’t need to be a manager to see it.. we needed to make stronger signings when the opportunity arose last minute month… the managers to blame 100%

This past few weeks we haven’t been anywhere good enough- simples… he needs to drop them regulars regardless of their statue.. I don’t care this is a new league we punching above our level , 5 weeks we had a chance to push on , we signed 3 players not good enough and dropping last seasons best players, we haven’t been right since just increased our wage bill instead of one real special addition

Agree with above posts. Regardless if we were in a false position or not we have been playing poorly for a good while now. This aint no blip! 6/9 defeats is a terrible run. There was no mass organiser/leader the body language of the players was effortless at best let alone the performance.

It is true that wins are almost taken as “well it should happen so no need to comment" whereas defeats are taken as “all hell breaking loose"

Don’t know who should bear the brunt of the responsibility for the bad run of form. Poor display all round today, but we never seem to learn that when booting the ball long and high up to Walshaw and Coulson isn’t working, we might need to try something different and instead just carry on regardless. I suppose it must be joint responsibility.

I would like to see Cadman and/or Lofts in midfield feeding the front three (who, let’s face it, aren’t going to be dropped). Our most creative players IMO but don’t get a game. We’ve only seen Lofts make 1 league start v Gainsborough and he looked really bright. Everything very stale and deliberate + it’s not working for the front 3 at all.

I feel it is definitely a confidence thing as the whole intensity was lacking as players were slow to react, slow to move the ball & heads were down. We do seem to lack creativity in midfield but I must point out one positive. I thought Bailey Gooda was my MOM & bearing in mind he is just recently back from a lay off, he was the only player (for me) that stood out & did what he was supposed to do with control.

Heads up boys & on your toes - you can do it.

I listened to the video in the council chamber & was surprised that parking was a big issue as I have never seen the car park full. Do some people park in the street nearby? There was a minor panic about the growing size of the stadium as though the bigger we made it the more people would be there. No mention was made of the fact that the stand was basically built to aid the match day experience of those already there. (Having not been previously built by the council in the first place). I would expect only a modest increase in the matchday numbers based on the numbers that went to the McCain stadium when a couple of leagues higher than we are now. They spoke of planting to deaden the sound whereas the stand would actually help that cause I would think. Anyway despite my concerns, common sense prevailed and the meeting passed the proposal with only one vote against. The guy who voted against, talked of the disruption & noise 2 times a week when on average it would be more like 1 time every 2 weeks apart from the extra Tuesday night games early season with a smaller crowd but next to nothing in the few months of the summer closed season.
