Probably the strongest card in our hand is that SAFC have very few assets to strip…although interestingly I have been lead to believe the new stand appears on our Balance Sheet !

I’m not sure as I missed the AGM.

However the real issue is that it might appear on our Balance Sheet at all rather than the owners of the Flamstad

I suspect it may be a complex issue centring on who can/cannot access the Premier League’s fund to help clubs lower down the pyramid

However, the bottom line I think is that whilst we are organised as we are there is fortunately little chance of us looking like an appetising “prospect” to the kind of people who were involved at various times with SFC

Hi Old Git
The 31/05/2019 Accounts are not transparent on the issue.
From memory, and I stand to be corrected, the club have stated that, Flamingoland donated £100,000, the FAGround Development Fund donated £150,000 and the Club Trust have a liability for the balance, currently cc £46,000 ( from memory). The fans had raised about £22,000 after Dave Hunter did his last walk to Whitby and I believe the Wilson family made a donation for seating in the stand to take donations to cc £30,000, leaving £16,000 to raise.
As far as the Accounts are concerned, I doubt we have any legal rights to the assets ( other than possibly right of use ) and they do not appear to be in the balance sheet as Assets. It is not clear if any of the outstanding £16,000 liability is included in Other Creditors.
For practical purposes, in all likelihood, we have paid out the full £16,000 by now and still need to raise most of it. If we do not, there will be £16,000 less for the playing budget and the potential for a cash flow issue. Not where we want to be !!! Time to raise that £16,000 ???

Plenty of unhappy Wombles around, but they are doing their best not to split into rival camps. Much better for them in the long term to work together constructively. Anyway, a little more background on the current situation:
